Cultural Anthropology

An ever-present characteristic of this collection is its diversity of objects and the use of some rather unusual materials such as cloves or human hair. Their conservation and restoration needs are just as multifaceted. A particular challenge lies in the need to consider the evidence of use, which form part of the object's history. Measures to improve the appearance of the works are therefore carried out very cautiously and with careful consideration of their original function.
