Stone

This section looks after objects made of stone, terracotta, plaster and stucco marble. In most cases these are mostly sculptures, including reliefs, gravestones and epitaphs, as well as architectural fragments. The laboratory has ample room and capability for the handling of extremely large and heavy pieces. This section also plans and coordinates the safe transit of objects that cannot be carried out in-house. In addition to the physical conservation and restoration interventions, work is ongoing to ensure the safe storage of the objects.
