Description
Hardly any other decorative glass art is more closely associated with the name Tiffany than the table, pendant and floor lamps with colourful geometric and floral patterns. Tiffany is considered to be the epitome of American Art Nouveau. The lamp shades, which extend widely over tall bronze shafts, are reminiscent of blossoming fruit trees or colourful bouquets of flowers. Framed by lead strips, the opalescent glass scatters the electric light across surfaces creating an atmospheric effect. In this example, the crown of an apple tree shines with red fruit, white blossoms and green leaves.
