The Bayerisches Nationalmuseum presents the artistically most valuable and, in terms of quality, the world's leading collection of nativity scenes of southern Germany, the Alpine region and southern Italy. The charmingly small or astoundingly elaborate, dramatically staged nativity scenes with its thousands of pieces allow visitors to discover 300 years of the cultural history of this devotional display dedicated to the birth of Christ.
