Textiles
The textile collection is one of the most important of its kind and includes items from Late Antiquity to the 20th century. For example, the tapestries from the 16th to 18th centuries, mostly from the Wittelsbach possessions, are among the principal collections of Brussels tapestries and products of the Munich manufactories worldwide.
In addition, the collection contains magnificent ecclesiastical garments and liturgical vestments, silk fabrics, embroideries, lace, but also textiles for everyday use.
