Classical Myths in ivory.

Alongside Christian iconography, the figures of Greco-Roman mythology were part of the established canon of subjects represented by artists especially from the 15th to the 18th century. A number of these stories have found their way even into modern pop culture. The tour presents episodes from the myth that ivory artists chose for their virtuoso creations.
